About This Event

Are you interested in attending the IUCN World Conservation Congress, either in-person or online?

We are gathering registrations of interest for a free workshop at Taronga Zoo.

The workshop will include:

  • A presentation from IUCN Vice President Peter Cochrane on all the opportunities to participate at Congress

  • A demonstration, led by the Australian government negotiations team, on how IUCN motions are negotiated, debated and voted on at the Members Assembly

  • Opportunities for all IUCN member representatives and Commissions members to discuss the issues most critical to Australia

  • Opportunities for all Australian IUCN constituents to strategise collectively, and plan to meet or align on issues at Congress

  • Opportunities for government members to attend a closed planning session

  • Opportunities for NGO and IPO members to attend a closed planning session

Please register your interest in attending the workshop in-person. Places are limited and the workshop will only go ahead if we receive enough indications of interest.

Note: this workshop will be replicated online in a webinar in August.
